60 days to go....

We're down another 10 days! 60 days to go! 41 days left at School for the children. 

Found a bag of clothes yesterday! I bought them in the Christmas Sales!  What an awful dress but it was £5 and a top that is too small! May have to wear it over a swim suit 

Am watching the dollar closely. Typically we won't have the bulk of our spending money until June and it's been hitting a good rate just now. 

When I went to New York in 2006, I got 1.84 which was fab but it was up at 1.98 by the time we went to Florida, 9 months later.

Oh well back to Monday Morning Blues

67 days to go...

We went shopping on Saturday with The Boy. To get Shorts! While I was looking at the sale rack, he'd gone off and found himself a pair of crocs! Did get him 2 pairs of shorts and the crocs! I had been looking for a certain shade of yellow t-shirt to match his shorts he bought before and finally managed to get him ones that matched too when I took Lil Miss shopping.

Yesterday we took Lil Miss. She got some tops, PJ's and shorts and she got kinda like trainer socks but more ballet pump type. So more or less finished bar 1 or 2 things. She wants joggy bottoms for travelling in. She'll moan about being too hot at the other end! I know she will. But hey ho.  

Mr Groovee got some shorts and vest tops too. Lil Miss wants him to shave his armpits.  This suggestion has hit a brick wall I fear.

So my holiday drawer is almost full. We'll be lucky to fit everything in one holdall. The other will have to take some cheapy towels and an extra bag and the booster seat for The Boy in the car.

Have added a few more off site restaurants to our list. I think we have more restaurants than days. But a list means we can pick and choose.

73 Days to Go!!!

Only 73 days and we'll be sailing across the atlantic.  

The weather was gorgeous on Saturday.  Lovely warm day, hanging the washing out.  Woke up on Sunday to howling Gales and rain.  Yesterday was the same and today we seem to have had 4 seasons in one day.  Kept seeing rainbows while I was at Physio this morning.

Unfortunately the physio has confirmed I do have bursitis in my hip.  This means I may have to think about how to do things especially if it flares up.  Hopefully I can learn to manage the pain.

Back to work tomorrow.  Looking forward to that.  Then it's only another 10 weeks til we finish yipeeeee!

Got out my holiday purse to count the loose change I had in there.  As I emptied the coins on to the table these wee sparkles, appeared.  Not sure where we got them last time but they somehow ended up with the coins.  Just what I needed to brighten things up today.

81 Days

Mr Groovee is bouncing with excitement.  He's driving me mad lol.

I keep dreaming about the Villa.  We're attempting to find the villa and find ourselves in what I thought at first was Willy Wonka Land.  But having dreamt again, I think it's more the fair in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, where Mr Potts goes to try and make money.  We keep getting laughed at for being lost and eventually we find our "villa" to discover it's a camper van!  I wasn't amused lol.

We've been watching video footage from last time.  The Boy is walking along Alligator Bayou and says "I'm carrying Spongebob upside down!"  He's also not amused with the characters until later in the holiday and is in his element with Pooh and Friends in the Crystal Palace.

Have ordered more dollar's as the rate has been $1.500.  But gone up slightly I noticed.  Am waiting to see if it goes up further to order more. We have plenty cash to get us going so loading on to a preloaded card this time.  May get some travellers cheques as a back up just in case.

So 11 weeks 4 days or 81 days and we'll be at the plane!  Keep hoping our flight time gets brought forward.  I can but wish.

85 Days to go!

Been to visit Concorde today at the Museum of Flight. Davscotcar decided there has to be rules with regards to the holiday. No moaning you are too hot was one of them.

Was amazed at how cramped Concorde was. I couldn't wait to get off the otherside lol. 

Did have me wondering how big our seats would be. Tried a 707 too.

Have found more dollars in an envelope in a drawer.  Printed off the ESTA's.    

Really we just need more spending money and more clothes as a basic and we're off.

Lil Miss has discovered T-Rex Cafe.... will have to try our luck for a walk up.
